New year, new newsletter.
2019 Recap:
February was a big month for us. Two monumental things happened: the purchase of our first Ramp Truck and WGI announced Genesee as their official beer sponsor. Celebrations were had and it made us all excited for the upcoming season.
With April came the first big event of the season, the Fun Run to Watkins Glen International. Its always a blast and draws a crowd, 2019 was no exception. We saw about 650 cars for our morning Cars and Coffee and about 500 drove to WGI to do some laps with us. CRAZY! Such an awesome way to start the season.
We of course continued Cars and Coffee throughout the year and with the support of our friend Mike Martinez we were able to start documenting some of those moments with short videos. Those always turn into someone doing donuts and as you all know, many donuts were made.
The Netflix show Hyperdrive came out in August (see our blog post on this here). Jill and Kevin were asked to speak on a panel at the premier at Kodak and we had an awesome premier at the shop to celebrate. A few weeks before the show came out, some of our crew went to New Jersey to support and attend a press day to promote the show. We suited everyone up and supported the cars they were filming for different news outlets.
In September the shop officially became a dealership giving us yet another outlet to better serve our customers.
November brought another big event - the 911 restomod was completed! More on this later, it deserves its own post for all the details.
On to 2020:
I know, you’re thinking wow, how could 2020 be even better? Here’s what January brought us:
We have a new restoration project going on! A 1974 Ford Bronco rolled in last September and Frank dove right in at the beginning of the year. We can’t wait to take everyone along on this build.

Tech Tips: January
We’re well into the winter months here in Rochester which means snow and freezing temps for a bit.
Remember to check your battery if it seems that your vehicle is taking longer than normal to start. We’ve also seen broken engine ground straps causing a majority of BMW tow in’s lately. A good check over with routine maintenance like an oil change can help prevent emergency situations.
Snow tires are still available if you haven’t installed them for the season. All season tires should have at least 6/32 of tread to effectively navigate on snow covered roads. Tire pressure is also very important to pay attention to all year round but especially in the winter - the factory recommended tire pressures are listed inside your drivers door.
Another tire issue to keep an eye out for are bubbles / damage to the sidewall of your tires. Unfortunately pot holes or poor road conditions can cause this kind of damage to your tires presenting a major safety concern.
Windshield wipers and washer fluid are easy to push off or forget about but when you need them, they better be ready. Check your wipers for cracks or dry rotting and replace them as necessary or every 6 months.
